In all the years he has collected he has never seen a Deniro that looks like that, so unless it was signed for a family member i'd be concerned. It's not as neat and readable as a secretarial. And it looks like it was signed with a sharpie so it had to be signed within the last 10 years and i just don't buy it or like it.
If i were you i would try and get a refund.
First, let me say thank you. That was nice of you to do, and for him to take time to evalute...
But I must disagree with the concept of having never seen another genuine De Niro signature like the one I have on my photo. I posted two unquestionably 100% authentic examples in this very thread that mine is practically a dead on match with... In the past few years, sure, the signature has gotten worse and worse. And when signing many in bulk, it's always been pretty rough.
But there are definitely examples of his signature being at times almost exactly like the one I have. Three examples that I posed earlier in this thread.
^^Autograph World's example(which I'm sure represents a time not being now of course) matches:

^^^When my Photo is compared to absolute genuine De Niro's that are similar to mine like these, the movements of the signature match almost identically(while still figuring in different hand placement, his signature itself slightly changing year by year, ect.). The places that the signature dips, comes back up, loops, all of these types of things are pretty much indentical.
I don't know the exact year my photo was signed, but I do know that it was signed outside of his New York Resturant "Nobu". That establishment has been open since 1994. So anytime between then to around 2005 is when it was signed.
This item here was signed just in 2008 by De Niro:
^^^This signature is not exactly the same as mine, but mine was not signed in 2008 either. However some of the overall movements and stokes of the signature are still recognizeable in and consistent with mine... As well as his past authentic examples.
And another recent example:
In any event, I appreciate your feedback and the time you spent getting an opinion you felt strongly enough about to share.
I just must respectably disagree. Thanks again though.
