So, this prooves for 99,99% that the autos are real, I think. {up}
If some people have problemes with that, fine.
But I think Phil is a very nice and friendly guy to handle with and I didn't thought since the first moment I saw his auto that it would be a sec. ;-)

Exactly SCOTTL. Why would the secretary of Phil Collins send out letters to fans to tell them that they have to patient to get their pictures signed because of Phil's health problems when she's the one who signs them? If that was the case everyone would have had their stuff back long ago. And it's true that she has sent those letters out because I received one of those not too long ago.

I had to disagree with you. I asked Annie and here is her reply:

Anything with Phil's signature is signed by him! Maybe these people should try signing their name a few hundred times, one after the other and see how much difference there is in their signatures! Plus, in recent years, as everyone now knows, Phil has had a problem with his hands - in fact he has signed very little since last April when he had his op, and nothing has been personalised for fans via me since last September. I have a stash of photos that he signed before his op and I am almost out of those. I recently had to write to hundreds of people, some who have been waiting since last August/September, to let them know they will have to wait a few more months before they get their photos/items signed, as Phil is due to have another op on his left hand - his signing hand! If I was signing his name, the fans would have had their stuff back months ago!

If you want to add this to that link - I have no problem with that :o)

There are many fake PC autos for sale on eBay and other sites; some that say they have a certificate of authenticity. We try to get them removed when we spot them…

Thanks,

You've done some nice research on the topic. I for one believe that the signitures are in fact Sec's. It is an argument that we can all make for several celebs like you said such as Travolta, Pacino and so on. There is no way of confincing everyone that they are Sec's and everyone will have a different opinion on all of these people. But it is an interesting topic to discuss anyway.

There has been many debates about the authentisity of Phil Collins TTM autographs. I have always leaned strongly towards them being secretarail.
Other stars such as John Travolta, Clint Eastwood, Dorris Day, Robert Deniro etc... also cause debate from the people that still want to beleive in Santa Claus but I feel Phil Collins is the only one that still might be debatable
Reasons for them being secreterial
The speed at which they are returned. Phil lives in Switzerland, mail is sent to a London office.
Annie Callingham, has been Phils personal assitant since 1990, she has had 20 years to pratice his signiture.
His TTM sigs have slight differances to his in person sig, although there are a few, the most glaring difference is the S at the end. Just look at the shape and how the autograph ends. For years all his TTM end going right, all his in person end with the tail going left.

Recently, I stumbled acoss a old article with Annie Callingham in which she said
"When Phil moved to Switzerland in 1994 to be with his girlfriend Orianne, I was worried because I didn't want to live there. But in fact it works well, because at least once a month I go to see him. I get picked up at the airport at about 12.30pm by Phil or his assistant, and we have lunch together before getting down to work. Phil then disappears for a few hours to sign photos and various other things like drum sticks or drum skins - he's always said that if he ever found someone forging his signature he would fire them"
That being said, I think we are down to A, B or C
A) Annie is lying
B) That quote was valid in 1998 but the rules changed in the early 2000s and she started signing for Phil
C) They are authentic
Based on the numourous studys I have done on his sig, I beleive B is our answer
