Yea I guess it can go either way. Hard to know for sure which line was formed first without examining it in person. It looks off to me either way though, and since they didn't pay much for it that kind of confirms it.

well the person above me just said it was questionable not that it was a complete fake!!!

And I was orignally going to tell them but afterwards I thought about it, and decided not to as they paid the money for (not much I dont think) so thought it would be nice of me just to tell them its real seen as though they got it now.

and they had said that was real, so wasn't too sure, as my mate had said the seller had told them it had been written in a dodgy sharpie pen (i think)

That signature is far from being inconclusive. It ranks up there with some of the worst Depp forgeries I've seen. If you are just going to tell them it's real to make them happy why waste members time on here?

I dont think its genuine as I don't think they paid a lot for it, am not sure how much they paid like.

I don't think that's authentic. The overall look is wrong, and to be more specific if you look very closely at the autograph you can see that the first part, (the part that look like a W) is separate from the second part. In any authentic examples I've seen these two part are always attached, and written without the 'pen' leaving the paper. And the vertical line is always done last, in this autograph it's seems attached to the first part.
Don't know how to explain it better. But here's an example of an authentic Johnny Depp autograph.

The seller has a few other Johnny Depp's up for sale, all authentic, and if you compare these with yours you should see what I mean. Even though the signatures vary a bit, some are more rushed then others, the basic make up of them is the same.
