What I suspect, is that (as someone else posted) the PO Box got closed, and a family member of Zac's decided to return the mail. He does send out preprints (if you don't include your own photo), but for those who sent photos, it definitely appeared that someone else forged his signature. :(

Zac does sign VV occasionally though! :)

Also, they're postmarked in Arroyo Grande, California, but Zac lives in West Hollywood. His parents live in Arroyo Grande, so it must be some member of the family signing for him. From the looks of the signatures, it seems as if he must have signed something and they're looking at that example while signing for him, trying to copy the signature. This would explain why they are so closely alike.

I can say with almost certainty that [b]the personalizations were not done by Zac[/b] - that is far from his handwriting. I have seen lots of examples of his writing before, and I myself have an [url=http://www.freewebs.com/lizsautos/apps/blog/show/446807-zac-efron][b]authentic personalized one[/b][/url] and he wrote his return address on my SASE, and the writing does not match at all. {down} So the personalizations are sec, and how come others (see this success: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=178124&p=771027 and this one: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=177635&p=768930 = both preprints with a sec inscription)received a [b][i]preprint[/i] with the same personalization[/b] - someone else is personalizing the items...

As for the signature itself, I definitely agree with [b]Chris102[/b]: the peace sign look way off unlike any authentic ones I've seen. The signature appears a tiny bit like this in person example from AutographWorld I found:

However, I think someone was trying to forge his signature - here's an example of a recent authentic VV success via "Charlie St. Cloud": http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?f=125&t=146873&p=642014 . To me, the new TTM ones just don't match... :(

Something looks funny with the recent successes from him. The signatures all look alike, and both the sigs and peace signs are very shakey. Also, the personalizations don't look like his handwriting. I think someone may be signing for him. His authentic signature is very fluid, no shakiness whatsoever. It's not autopen shakiness, but shakiness from the signer being unsure.
