Autograph collecting to many people is all about value, not about authenticity. After all, if you didn't get it yourself - how will you ever really know?
So with that being said, I would certainly pay $5 for it if I could drop it off at Christie's and get over $1000 - wouldn't you?
Nope, I would not. Because it's fake! All I'm trying to tell you is that the photo (for whatever auction it's at) is not the real deal. Whoever ends up buying it will be very disappointed when they realize the truth. Furthermore, photos of Freddie signed are very rare. Look on Ebay for some really bad examples. Most of his real signatures will be in ball-point pen. You should understand this because of the era and sharpies were not available. Felt-tip pens were sketchy at best. When you see an authentic signed album by the entire band they are usually with fine-pens, not markers. Or, Freddie's will be with a ball point pen and Brian's, Roger's and John's could be with a sharpie. Queen's signatures are very distinct.
Here is a REAL Freddie signature.
And Brian May
And John Deacon
Roger Taylor
