Insert authenticity? Niklas Backstrom

Today I bought a pack of 2011 Upper Deck Victory Hockey Cards with a guaranteed rookie or insert card. The insert was a signed card of Niklas Backstrom goaltender for the Minnesota Wild. What I'm wondering is the autograph real or just a stamp? I know that in the MLS soccer sets and some of the baseball sets the insert autographs are real. Thanks
