I hate to inform you, but Both Dylans you asked about are forgeries. The story he spent to you sounds exactly like many i have heard before. You have to always assume the guy who your buying from on ebay is selling a fake and let the signature do the talking. Dylan is a tough signature to authenticate sometimes, but i am very sure that these are both forgeries. Dylan hates signing autographs and your more libel to get spit on than get an autograph from him. He avoids it at all costs. Of course if you believe the show Pawn Stars, you can find him walking the streets in LA signing graphs for the masses.
I understand that you probably wont believe me, but if you really want to know if your item is authentic, go to autograph magazine live, go to the forum section and post a thread concerning it in the authenticity section. You will get replies from the best in the business. You have roger epperson their, who is regarded as one of if not the best music authenticator in the world among others including many members who authenticate for PSA, JSA, etc. Both bad and good Dylans get posted their all the time and i can assure you its the best place anywhere on the net to ask for very educated opinions on autograph authenticity as far as a forum goes. If i really want to know the truth about my item, good or bad, i go their and ask.
If real, your item would bring at least 800 dollars on the low end, but unfortunately its a forgery. I would see if you could return it, and if he wont accept returns, i would file a claim with paypal. Unfortunately this kinda crap is everywhere in the market. Forgery is a profitable business. Good luck and i hope you get your money back. I strongly encourage you to ask the members over their about the Dylan, regardless of if you take my opinion for anything. I just dont want you to hang onto a bad item and then try and sale it to an auction house or something down the road and they reject it. Or you could always put it up on ebay real quick for an insane amount of money and then submit it to PSA quick opinion. And then just take it down off ebay. I have done this several times. I wish you luck getting a refund.
