Interesting video.

I've seen or read a few stories about current celebrities who recall being turned down for autographs when they were younger and were asking.

I'm guessing Kaye was one of the old style stars who put on a positive act for the cameras. When turning down one person waiting for an autograph, that to me, seems so low and gives off the vibe of being so self important. Wouldn't surprise me if he used ghost signers.

Carlin collected autographs as a kid. In this part of an interview with Tom Snyder he talks about his experience with Danny Kaye. Interesting and explains why he always signed.

Don't think I've ever read anyone thinking his are fake.
Seemed like a great guy.

There was a short time around the early 2000s when he stopped sending ttm due to being upset about sales of his ttm autographs. It didn't last too long, if I recall correctly.

I emailed his daughter and she verified. He always did his own signing (as I suspected). It's the real deal. :)

I wrote a letter to George Carlin about 20 years ago and received an 8x10 headshot with an autograph from his management. Wonder now if he had other people signing for him. I like to tell myself that because he was such a genuine guy he wouldn't BS his fans with a bogus autograph.
Does anyone have any input about his authenticity? Thanks,
