Here´s an example of a rip-off, a seller trying to sell bad fakes for a ridiculous price. Judas Priest sign a lot, I´ve met members on different occasions and got their autographs, and the Dave Holland and Glenn Tipton here are so bad it´s not even funny. All are obvious fakes but at least he tried with Ian Hill and Rob Halford....

You should not need to apologise for checking. Heaps of people sell autographs,. When sold online or on eBay, it's with the security of anonymity. A high percentage of sellers knowingly sell fakes. You can ask them many questions, they'll give you lovely answers to get your $$. You are within your right to use every resource, including fanmail.biz, to do due diligence to try and ensure you're not ripped off.
As for wasting the sellers time by asking questions, if the seller doesn't want to answer them, they're under no obligation to. In the same way you are under absolutely no obligation to buy.
I'm not saying that the 'fiend' is a scammer. I'm also not saying the 'fiend' isn't. All I'm saying is too many people are ripped off & you should do whatever you need to to avoid being ripped off. If you don't buy the 'fiend's' merchandise, someone else will, so don't feel guilty.
In this instance I'm not sure why you're 'insecure'. You've been a fanmail.biz member for a couple of years. 'Fiend' seems to have joined a couple of weeks ago. You a relative veteran at this collecting game. What have you got to be 'insecure' about?!

Well, what would have been the right course of action? Please, can you tell me? I really don't know :)

As an insecure autograph collector, with no connections where I could ascertain my possible purchases, how could I know the right course of action. I did my own best but I think that is not enough because I am obviously biased (and like I said insecure). I admit it that I could've and should've said to you, disneyfiend, that I want to have a second opinion on your item. I'm terribly sorry for this all, I usually act before I really think things properly through.

I like this forum and that is why I posted it in here. Not everyone is perfect. And like I said, I have no other connections, even though that would be wise. I guess that just makes me dumb.

PS: I will take the photo away from the first post if that is what upset you.

Why would you repost something already posted in the sales thread if its already been discussed?
