Thanks for the advice

I guess i am a bit impatient. As it was my first request, i didn't know what to expect. I probably should have waited alot longer, i would never make a thread to scare people out of sending or whatever, i just got worried because a couple of people told me that i needed IRC's and i put money instead!

:neutral:

Please don't make threads like this. It's scares all those who have sent to him. You need to understand fanmail is not for the impatient. I have had letters come in 3 years after I sent.

Celebs, especially thos ewho are known to be good signers, get flooded with mail. Stan actually is extremely kind to his fans and signs everything. He will sign your stuff. Just give it time.

In the future please don't title threads or report failures that are nothing more than a no reply.

And before you get bent out of shampe, I'm givign you solid advice. I'm not beaing mean or trying to insult you. When I first started I wanted a success immediatly too. Over time you will accept the time it takes and actually look forward to totally random successes you thought were failures.

I just wanted to add that some celebs won't reply overseas even with IRC's, if you don't provide postage it might not ever happen. Example, I'm still waiting on Jeremy Bulloch, who usually replys very quicky to those living in england, while I haven't been waiting very long, it could be very possible that he doesn't or won't ship to the USA even with IRC's. I've heard on this board before that if you don't provide IRC's for overseas request from Stan Lee that he won't reply.

Stan will sign it and return it. He is very faithful. He doesn't choose a few to sign, he signs all, he is just really busy right now after Marvel selling to Disney. Alot of news stations are having him appear and talk about the sell and what he sees in the future for marvel being run by disney. Be patient. You'll get your comics back.

Yeah I wouldn't give up hope yet. One of my longest successes took 900+ days. I too am waiting to hear back from Stan. {thumb2}

Stan gets so many requests, some he is able to sign right away, some sit in a pile until he gets to it. I think it depends on when he's in his office and when he's out of town working on other projects. I tend to assume if he gets 2 requests in a day, he'll sign both right away, but if he gets 50, he's probably not going to get to all of them right away. keep your head up and one thing I've learned about autograph requests, be patient
