The ones who have response in a month count this a very quick. It took 5 months before Evangeline response to me. And believe me she is not slow with responding.

Hi Folks,
Thanks for the replies, you've given me new hope!
The only reason I thought that I'd missed out on a reply is that most of the posts seem to say that replies come within a month or so, which is why I thought that an early November request for the late December anniversary would be long enough, but now I know better. I'll allow three months for our 50th!
I appreciate your reasurances, I'll start watching out for the postman again. My post intended no slight on Sir Cliff, I realise it can be a torturous journey between the letter leaving here and getting to him wherever he is in the world.
Thanks again,
Tony

Tony, these things take time. This hobby is all about waiting. And probably the first rule of thumb is never send anything out that you aren't prepared to lose.

Good luck with getting your photo signed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. {up}

You may not have lost your photo, replies can take months and months from some people, Im sure he gets a lot of mail.

Personally I'd wait a few more months before starting to worry :D

Sir Cliff Richard dissapointment

Hi,
I sent a request to the Surrey address in November 2009 enclosing an original wedding photograph with a request ( very polite) for Sir Cliff to sign it for my wife and I's 40th wedding anniversary in late December 2009. I also enclosed an SAE, but never got any reply. So not only do I not have an autograph but I've lost one of our original wedding photographs. Very Dissapointed.
Regards,
Tony
