Yes, here in the USA you can go anywhere and ask about any kind of racing and people look at you like you are stupid. NASCAR is getting big but, living in Joliet (Chicago) IL. where the IRL has the most spectacular races, you'd think someone whould know a thing or two about racing. I think people are too stupid to understand racing & thats why they don't like it.

:D I am a Michael Schumacher fan since 1991, i have tried to get Michael Schumacher shell posters and they are getting difficult to get, i go to my Shell petrol garage and they give you strange looks, are we english stupid or something, you mention this in Shell petrol garages in Germany they know what you are on about. i think the english need to wake up.
