Hi MW1221
Thanks for your post.
It is such an important question
The Make A Wish Foundation would be a great charity. I am so glad you mentioned that one, as it was one I was asked to collect for later this year in the UK !!!!!

(
http://www.make-a-wish.org.uk ). You would obviously be collecting for the USA branch

(
http://www.wish.org/ ).
This is a fantastic charity, but I might be a bit biassed as I only support child-charities in my collections. It might sound a bit harsh, and I know there are loads of other very worthy charities to collect for, but in order to keep some kind of control I have to limit the type of charities I can help around my tv work, and I have always chosen those who support children.
A major consideration me is that I lost my youngest brother at the age of 11 back in 1999 and I chose soon after I would like to collect to help youngsters.

I currently support Children With Leukaemia
http://www.leukaemia.org, NSPCC
http://www.nspcc.org.uk and the UK Scout Association
http://www.scouts.org.uk
A great website for you to check out though would be:
http://www.childrenscharities.org/ which lists many many child-friendly charities in the USA, and I hope this will be of help to you!
Thanks again for your post
Ian
