thanks so much! I think companies are turning down requests because the stamps are from the government, so they would need it approved by them first! I should call the local radio stations! thanks soo much!

We wrote letters to lots of local companies asking for sponsorship. Unfortunately they were unable to help.

So we are going to claim it back from door procedes. So another tip is to make sure you advertise your event well.

We have been in touch with local radio, newspapers, shops and other media.

But on the plus side. Some of the companies where they couldn't help finiacially have donated prizes to be raffled off to also help the charity that i am doing the auction for.

Hope this helps you out in some small way.

Hi courtney {up}

Unfortunately I have never heard of a post office / post service giving charity collectors a discount :? (more's the pity!!!)

All you can do is either pay for the postage up front and claim it back from your proceeds, or ask your charity to send out your mail for you.

The first option is usually the easier one to deal with.

Hope this helps!

hello again!

I was just wondering, how can you get places like post offices to sponser you, and give you discounts. I am collecting for a charity( and as you can tell, I'm new at this)!! :lol: :wink:
