£50 for a signed script is a very reasonable price - its just a matter of advertising it in the right place!

How about looking for a forum where fans of Zoe or My Family congregate? I did this with a Bad Girls signed script and got £100 no trouble!

Hi all {up}

That is very strange . . . I have received donated items from Zoe in the past, and she (or her agent) has never asked that before.

Maybe they have just become aware of a spate of decent items going for next-to-nothing on eBay, and want to put a stop to it.

I suppose at least she is still sending the items out (even with this proviso), and not simply putting a blanket ban on helping at all.

Seemss bit of a shame though :?

I got a signed script from her agent last year as we were doing a charity auction for Wateraid. The letter we got said that if we didn't get 250 pounds (uk) for it then we had to return it.
We didn't think it would get anywhere near that and returned it. Our auction was on ebay and the problem with putting that kind of reserve price on it you end up paying a lot in listing fees and reserve fees as the figure is so high.
If it helps Derek Fowlds has sent us a couple of scripts in the past which have gone fairly well and he doesn't ask for a reserve price !

I had the same happen to me.
No one was willing to pay £50 so i sent it back.
I can imagine the script doing the rounds.

Hi hollydot2,

Firstly, congrats on getting a signed script from Zoe Wanamaker - what a result! I am guessing that the script she has signed is one from "My Family". As this is a very popular show, Zoe and her agents obviously want to make sure that it gets a fair price, and is not just sold off for a quid (£1.00). I'm sure that many people would pay upwards of £50.00 anyway for this sort of item, so you really have nothing to worry about. Why not stick it up on eBay, with either a starting price of 50 quid (£50.00) or a reserve for this price. That way you can ensure that it gets the price that it deserves (and you can keep Zoe and her agents happy!!)

Once again, congrats, and good luck for your auction.

All the best, {up}

i wrote to zoe wannamaker about trying to raise some money to help subidise my sisters drama school fees, which i have sent out to a fair few celebrities and recieved lots of positive responses.

I recieved a signed running order signed by zoe and a letter from her secretary saying that zoe wants to dontate this with the proviso that it sells for at least 50.00... and if it doesnt i should send it back to them... im a bit confused by this, has anyone had anything similar or can offer me any advice many thanks
