well almost all are being auctioned but if i have a freind or know someone that would like a item i would tell them i need full opening bid price so it would still be auctioning.

It would be more professional if you wrote to them and provided an SASE so they could send you some headed paper. I'm not sure where you live but phoning them puts you in contact with someone and they'll talk to you about what you're planning to do etc...but email is also a possibility - it just won't seem as professional but it does mean that you would get a quick reply! It's up to you what method you use. :D

On the grounds on whether you could get a signed script - it's always possible! Some celebrities are more than happy to provide signed scripts/clothing/pictures/balls/etc - but you have to say in your letter who you are collecting for and how are you going to make the money and why you are collecting for that charity. I collect for a local charity Air Ambulance service and I give my autograph donations to a local radio auction and autographs can raise a lot of money and I mention exactly which charity and when the auction is - if I don't then they may think I'm one big fake so you need proof to be legit.

However if you are planning on just raising your own money from Ebay and giving your chosen charity the profits then they may be a little more wary as there are some greedy people out there who pretend to be raising money for a charity when instead they are pocketing it! {down}

The best way of getting a script by representing yourself as legit is to contact your local branch of the charity and ask whether you could be sent some headed offical charity paper to send your requests on. I asked for this from the charity and instead they sent me about 20 letters of authenticity to show that I was legit and I just included one letter in each envelope along with my request.

I hope you have understood all of this...if you need any of this clearing up...don't hesistate to contact me! {up} Good luck! :D
it was completely understood but how would i contact the canadian cancer society could i do it by email and i wont be sending for a while anyway. because before i start charity collecting i am sending my last personal only letters and one tree hill doesent start filming until july fifth and i like to send five letters at a time and only send once a month.

edit i am not selling all of them by ebay i know a few freinds that would like a item or two but ofcourse the money is still going to the charity

actually that isnt true i have seen about 3 on ebay so if they sign them at signings and stuff like that why wouldnt i get one for my charity auction? ( i didnt mean that rudely to you)
I checked ebay (completed listings too) and they were almost all preprints and of the same two episodes

no prob about the rep point and about the script i feel that they will send me one or two because i am asking politely and being thankfull (i dont mean this in anyway like a big shot)

heres what i am going to write dear...(i dont know the directors name write now) i am a huge fan of the show you direct hannah montana etc ( i will write that i am a fan and write it like a normal fan letter , when i get to the point of asking for the script this is what i i plan to write) if i could please have 2 cast singed scripts for a charity auction i am having for the canadian cancer society that would be great the reason two would be amazing is because i know they will sell for a lot of money for one and with two you will get the double the amount) mr.... you dont know how much this means to me thank you so very much from a very greatfull fan anthony(name printed by hand and also have the charities logo at the bottom the actuall letter will have better grammar and punctuation)

keep them, like a lot of directors do. Or auction them off for their own charities that they either own or support.
