Again, there is no celebrity who is guarenteed to send you anything signed other than a photo.

I got a signed CD off Phil Collins for example for my auction, and someone else recently just got a signed photo, so it is pot luck.

PM me if you want a list of names who have helped my by sending items other than photos.

Thanks for the help. So far (for my charity auction) I have received a beautiful signed picture from Cyndi Lauper. She is really nice. I have sent out about 50 letters so far, and I hope to get some more responses soon.

There is no list of "Best to write to" because who may have been the best to one person won't be the best to another, and celebrities mails may get spammed if we made a list with the best signers.

Most celebrities will donate a signed picture if you are holding a charity auction, and many will also send extra items such as CD's, books, scripts etc :) In your letter it is best not to limit yourself by what you write, a lot of people will write:

"If you could take the time to donate a signed photograph for me to sell..." and so limit themselves on what they will recieve.

You will probably get a better responce if you write something like:

"If you could take the time to donate a signed photograph or memorabilia..." as that tells them that you are happy to accept items other than photographs ;)

I have recieved badges signed, and I know of people who have recieved books and scripts etc too :)

Good luck with your collecting!!

PS. You should always write to the charity you are collecting for first so that they can provide you with a letter of confirmation to send to the celebrities to prove that you are actually collecting for charity :)
