My letter is a whole page, as long as it is all needed and helps to enhance your chances i don't see that as a problem. Just make sure its polite etc and it should go great =]

Best of luck with your fundraising !!

the biggest key is to be patient
most of the time the average wait is 3-4 months
and if you are sending a letter explain your cause and charity collecting, I think a whole page is fine!
that my opinion anyway 8)

New and Looking for Advice

Hello Everyone,

My name is Sherry and I am the CEO/Founder of Triple "L" Horse Rescue in Brunswick, GA. We are in the process of organizing a celebrity auction. I have sent out well over 400 letters since December 4, 2007. And have over 700 more on my list to send out, and keep adding more names everyday.

So far I have received an 8x10 of Charlie Daniels and Reba, a 4x5 of Paris Hilton, and a signed book from Patricia Cornwell with a $1,000.00 check. What a surprise that was!!! :D

Our auction is scheduled for March 15, but I have a feeling we are going to have to change it, time will tell.

When I send off our letter I include a copy of our newsletter, which I am hoping will help bring in the successes. From all the reading I have done it seems that I may have my letter to long, it is one page but almost the whole page. I was wondering if maybe one of you experts could take a look at it and give me some pointers. This auction is a big necessity for us - our landlord wants us to move ASAP so we need to raise funds to find us a new home. He hasn't told us a definite date to be out by, but we are thinking maybe 6 months if we are lucky.

Any help that you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hope everyone has a great night.
Sherry
