My goal in life is to Save and Rescue as many horses as I can.
Triple “L†Horse Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non profit public charity dedicated to saving the American horse from starvation, abandonment, neglect, abuse, slaughter and from owners who can no longer keep their horse for whatever reason. We provide equine rescue regardless of age or disability and we strive to give as many as we can a second chance at life and love. To date, we have rescued 9 horses in our 2 years of operation; found forever loving homes for 3, had to sadly euthanize 2, and continue to rehabilitate 4 of our remaining horses here at the rescue.
That is why we are writing to you today. We will be hosting a
“Benefit Auction for the Horses†September or October of 2008. We may be moving soon so it is hard to commit to a definite date. If everything goes through as planned our priorities will be for the horses. We will need to build fences and shelters for the horses before they can be moved. The goal of this event is to raise awareness and funds for the horses here at Triple “L†Horse Rescue (TLHR).
We
most humbly request your assistance in our efforts by requesting a personal item from you for the auction; if it's signed, that will help even more. Please support our efforts by donating memorabilia, an autographed picture or a financial donation. Items that are received will be placed in our live and silent auction. The proceeds from our event will help cover vet, farrier, feed and hay for the horses. It will also help us to stock our inventory for items needed for their care (brushes, halters, lead ropes, medicine, etc).
Your donation is fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Upon receipt of your donated item TLHR will send you a tax-deductible receipt for your records. P.S. Our newest arrival: Sally Belle arrived at TLHR on May 10, 2008. Since her arrival Sally has had her vet check and feet done, she is 400 pounds underweight. It will take us months to undo the damage that her previous owner did to her, but in spite of everything she has gone through she is still very trusting and loving. She is an example of what we do. We do it for the horses. They shouldn’t have to live like this and with your help we can continue our mission and save others like Sally Belle.
