Hi all!

There are many great supporters of charity collections - check out my current successes: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=7018

Unfortunately, the biggest problem is that many (not all) celebs tend to want to personalise autographs or send out pp's. This is mainly because many are afraid of their autos being sold without their permission.

This means that the job of the charity collector is sometimes more difficult than a personal collector, as we do not want personalised autos! We want the celeb not to personalise so we will have a chance of auctioning it.

However, I have found that providing you are very clear about this upfront, and you can verify the legitimate nature of your organisation - then most celebs are only too glad to help.

Yes, John Travolta seems to get alot of feedback. Colin Firth also gets quite a bit and so does the Fanning sisters. Maybe we should all try them out for sucesses.

I've had successes with Mary Tyler Moore, Tom Poston, President Jimmy Carter, Elizabeth Taylor, John McCain, and Florence Henderson. All of these are good at sending stuff for auctions. I never sent anything more than a letter.

I have had successes from Johnny Depp, Al Pacino, Sylvester Stallone and Vin Diesel for the charity I am collecting for. Try them but if you want a success you'd be best sending your own picture for them to sign.

Thanks {up}
