I got a succes from Lisa Kelly. But none from Mairead or David Downes :(
In David's case I get a reply from the manager, but no autograph or picture of David. From Mairead I've got nothing. (Sent Mairead a letter in June 2011)

I also write this: Also, don't forget to write at the bottom of the envelope PLEASE HOLD ON FOR [b]The Celtic Woman/Lisa surname (The Celtic Woman)[/b] (date of performance). You can also address your letter like this:
Lisa Kelly (The Celtic Woman)
Address
You don't need to call those venues. Successes were already received using them so the work for sure ;)
You start writing at the bottom of the envelope, at left corner (or in the middle) PLEASE HOLD ON FOR...Look I really can't explain that in different way. At the bottom of the envelope, 2cm under the address, you write down PLease hold on for___ on _________. Hope you understand what I mean, otherwise I don't know how to tell it.

Hmmm I think you can also pick the same venue and just post it into a different envelope but yes, it might be a better idea to use different one ;)
Example would be:

Name
VENUE ADDRESS

[i][u]Left corner[/u][/i] PLEASE HOLD ON .... [i][u]Right corner[/u][/i]
Response could take 1 year or one week. It depends if they sign via venue (have you seen any previous successes) and when do they sign. Some bands/singers sign everything they got on the concert date and send it out at same day, some prefer to sign things after the tour is finished.
If you don't get anything back after a month, you can try another venue (well, you can try it before too but I suggest to give them some time).
I suggest you to send it out 10 days before the event ;)
