Ok, guys. I don't know if this is worth sharing but I FINALLY got a reply from Woestijnvis, and they had actually bothered to get a direct fan mail address to Benedict Cumberbatch while "The Fifth Estate" is filming.

UPDATE: Someone lied or miscommunicated with me saying that filming of "The Fifth Estate" in Belgium would wrap March 21st, but actress Carice van Houten tweeted that it wrapped today (March 10) just as I predicted:https://twitter.com/caricevhouten/statu ... 9803155457
I am really truly sorry for all of this and all mix-ups and confusion.[/i]

Here is their reply from Facebook:
"Dag Mia!
je mag je brief naar dit adres sturen. De brief komt zeker bij Benedict terecht.
Vriendelijke groet!
NO LONGER VALID
"

And this is the translation using Google:
"Day Mia!
You may send your letter to this address. The letter is certainly justified by Benedict.
Best regards!
NO LONGER VALID
"

I also asked them to forward whatever fan mail they received since they have his address. I can't believe they actually gave me one. So, there is hope for us all! :) My prayers have been answered!

Hi sonicsam!
Thank you so much for the kind words and for understanding. I feel less despairing, now. I really hope the address I shared will work out for anyone who used it. :)

Ok, everybody. I really am sorry for posting this address. I had no idea it would make everybody so angry. I was just trying to help people, not make them miserable. I am very new here and am a beginner in fan mail. I've only written a few times. I suppose I was just being naive or ignorant regarding the consequences. I had no idea that you are supposed to only post addresses in public if they are confirmed. Really! I had no intention of "spamming". I am very ashamed and humiliated and will be so much more if nobody gets a reply. I did imply that it was risky and I was very hesitant myself, in sending one.
Thank you for correcting me, but I wish it wasn't so...harsh.

Sincerely,
ElfMaidenArcher

Ok, so Woestijnvis is somewhat involved. FBOFilm has yet to put up their site, contact info, etc.

Oh, sorry. I thought it was since one of their people is co-producing it. I implied that it is a risky address and not 100% confirmed. Then do you know who is the Belgian co-producing company? Because there are American ones, Icelandic one, German one and so there's gotta be a Belgian one. Woestijnvis was recommended to me by someone who risked sending a LOR to Iceland and was successful. And I'm not spamming. I was simply re pasting because I was lazy. These people asked for an address, you know.

If you want to risk it, just send me a pm.

I have no idea how you delete posts, so I decided to write the above.
