Last week I was doing some volountary work at The Orpheus Centre which is a performing arts centre for young disabled people. Some live thier and some do week long courses. It was founded by Richard Stilgoe who wrote the lyrics for 'Cats,' Starlight Express' amongst other great musicals

I was on a course last week as an enabler. My job was basiclly to help and assist the people taking the course.

During the week everyone writes songs, then rehearses them ready for a concert where everyone performs all the music they have written. To my suprise Richard was at the concert and after the show he kindly signed the back of my certificatee I got for helping on the course. I said I really enjoyed helping and he thanked me and said without the enablers the courses would not be possible.
