Big day autographing for me. It was freezing cold in NYC today. Went to Good Morning America in the morning and just as I got there, Philip Seymour Hoffman was walking out of his car. A grapher, Sheldon had him one on one, but Philip did not sign. I got an 8x10 printed at Duane Reade and when I got back, there were 15+ people behind the barricades. Philip came out and signed 5 or 6 with someone's black sharpie, but he didn't sign my photo. I walked to the end of the barricade where he was walking to his car. I asked him if he could sign my photo. He took my blue sharpie and signed my Capote 8x10! I've heard stories that he's not a friendly person, but he was nice today. Didn't try for Paula Abdul coming out of GMA.
After GMA, I walked with Sheldon to Mike & Juliet and very few graphers showed up. Ana Ortiz who plays Betty's sister, Hilda in Ugly Betty came out and signed+took pics with everyone (4 people). She is very friendly in person (very beautiful too! {thumb2} ). She signed an index card for me. One guy got her to sign like 12 photos

. Marlo Thomas (That Girl) came out and was also very friendly. Got her to sign an index card. She signed 6 photos for the guy that got 12 Ana Ortiz autographs. We stayed around and Mike & Juliet had a post-taping. Tila Tequila (the myspace celeb/she had a MTV show, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila) walked in and took picture with 2 guys, but her publicist told her to sign on the way out. Tila is tiny in person, she's around 4'11". Tila came out after the post-tape and she signed a bunch. Her publicist told her to only sign 1 each and leave, but she signed multiples for a few people. Once again another extremely nice person. My first graphing experience at Mike & Juliet was a good one, but it was cold around 20 degrees.
Later in the day, I went over to Late Show with David Letterman where it was freezing cold. Surprising there were a lot of people today going for Jennifer Connolly and Meryl Streep. A band called The Duke Spirit walked in, but no one really cared. Anderson Cooper, the CNN anchor walked in and didn't sign anything. Jennifer Connolly arrived around 4 pm. She looks very very skinny. She signed for one side and didn't sign for the other side. I was on the side she didn't sign many for, but I got her to sign my 8x10. Didn't feel like waiting another 2 hours in the cold for Meryl Streep so I went over to Macy's and US Olympic gymnast, Nastia Liukin was making an appearance at 5 pm, signing autographs if you purchased any Vanilla Star clothes. They were only handing out posters if you bought something, but I wanted to get my magazines signed. So I left before Nastia arrived.
Good day, especially for the cold weather.
Philip Seymour Hoffman 1/1 Capote 8x10 (for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor, BAFTA Award for Best Actor, Golden Globe Award for Best Actor, and a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role)
Ana Ortiz 1/1 IC (very nice signature)
Marlo Thomas 1/1 IC (she wrote M twice because the index card slipped when she was signing)
Tila Tequila 1/1 IC
Jennifer Connelly 1/1 8x10 (Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, BAFTA Award for Best Actress, Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for the movie A Beautiful Mind)
