I live in the NY area and I spend as much time as possible collecting autographs in person at TV tapings, Broadway plays, and concerts. Angela Lansbury is currently appearing on Broadway in a play called Blithe Spirit. A few weeks ago, I stood outside the theater after the matinee show ended on a Saturday. After a few collectors had gathered around the barricades, a guard announced that Ms. Lansbury would not leave the theatre between performances. So today, I decided to try to get her autograph before the show. Around 12:45-1:00, Ms. Lansbury arrived and announced "Sweetheart, I never stop coming in.........only on the way out." I apologized for bothering her and went on my way, but I'm wondering. If she doesn't sign on the way in.......and doesn't exit between shows..........then do I really have to stay up until 11:00PM just to get an autograph? NO THANKS!
