hey guys yesterday i got to meet lauren in lake grove ny. this is what basically happened:
the signing was scheduled for 7 and that theyd be giving out wristbands at 5. i spoke to someone that went to the one in california and she siad she got there at 3 and was one of the first people there so i thought that if i got there around 4 it would be fine. There was traffic and we had to drive and hour and a half away so we got there like 430 and there was already a line outside. There was a line upstairs downstairs a huge one outside. after we bought the books we waited on line outside. i had doubts that we wouldnt even met her becuase there were hundreds of people and they didnt know how many tickets to give out. but we eventually got tickets number 890 and 891 haha there were that many people ahead of us but some didnt have books but they took the tickets anyway so they just wouldnt be allowed to get anything signed. we were allowed toleave and told to come back at 830. we went at 7 anyway bc we wanted to see her arrive. all of a sudden people saw a fancy black car and everyone started like charging towards it we saw her from a few feeet away just walk into a side door she didnt wave or anything lol. they decied to get upstairs theyd call a group a numbers they did not let anyone up there unless they had a number in that interval. we waited the whole time. it was really nerveracking becuase htey were going by 50's and the lady said that its up to lauren and her publicist when she stops signing and that no one but the first 300 were guaranteed. we finally got upstairs and waited in another line to meet her. once you got like right near her table you had to put ur camera away. so you were barely allowed to take pictures. all she did was sign and not personalize or take pics. she was sooo sweet tho. she said hey how are you and thanked me for coming. i was star struck haha. after we got our book signed we were allowed to take ONE picture of her and she wasnt even like looking and the guy gave us 3 seconds to take a picture. then once you walked around they let you stay there and take a few pics from a distance but people kept blocking her so it was hard and then the security was like yelling at everyone to leave so we left lol. [thats why there are random people in all the pictures] they gave out 1000 tickets. i was shocked to see how many people came. she was so sweet to actually sign for everyone that had a book and ticket. it was funny cuz her book sold out everywhere the barnes and noble people started letting people go to borders bc it was sold out and then they were sold out all over the city. it was insane but worth it bc i really love lauren.
