On the 29th August I went to see the UK touring production Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat which stars Craig Chalmers who was a contestant on BBC Any Dream Will Do. After losing out to Lee Mead for the role in the West End, Craig was signed up to play Joseph in the National tour.
After the show which was absolutely fantastic, I met most of the cast including Craig at the stage door. So pleased to have seen them as I didn't expect they would come out as there was just 50 minutes between shows before the evening performance as there were 3 performances on the day. First out was Craig and he was lovely, I told him how much we had enjoyed the show and he thanked us all for coming to see him. Signed my show programme and saw that I also had the Joseph souvenir brochure and said I'll sign that too shall I?
Then I got a photo with him too!
After that I waited to see if any other cast members would come out too and met Lee Mathieson (Napthali/Butler), Sam Cassidy (Benjamin), Camilla Rowland (Mrs. Potiphar), Scott Cripps (Pharoah), Henry Metcalfe (Jacob/Potiphar), Simon Murphy (Dan), all of whom were really wonderful people and stayed around for a long time chatting with everyone & signing programmes. Got photos with Sam
, Scott, Camilla & Lee too before they all went off to Pizza Express round the corner!
