Smothers Brothers in person Success (Aristicrats/comedians)

by magicdude20 » Thu Oct 08, 2009 6:15 am

I saw the Smother Brothers in Milwaukee at the Potawatomi Casino it Milwaukee on Oct 7th 2009, they were very funny and I enjoyed the show very much. I posted several pics on my Flickr, however I did take over 100, so I don't plan on posting them all. I brought my copy of "give peace a chance" which Tommy Played on to have signed, I also brought a silver sharpie, always bring your own marker. I asked security of the guys would be available after the show for a picture or an autograph, I was told no. I asked if I could have my record brought back stage for an autograph, again told no. One security guard was nice enough to tell me what door the guys are leaving out of, and if I'm lucky they might come over and sign, but since it's part of the casino floor, and not in the theatre, I cannot take pics in the hallway. After the show, I waited in the hallway for about a half an hour, then Tommy came out.

I waved to Tommy Smothers, he walked right over to me, I handed him my record and said, "could you sign this for me?" he answered my question with a question, "What is this?", "It's a copy of give peace a chance, I believe you played on it", he smiled and signed it for me, we did talk for about a minute about John Lennon, he shook my hand and smiled and we parted ways,

Here's a picture of my signed record

A minute later Dicky Smothers came out of the door, walked right over to me and shook my hand, I said, "My name is Bob and could you sign my ticket stub?", he gladed did it, while he was signing I told him how much I loved him in the Aristicrats, he told my his favorite comedians in the movie were Gilbert Gottfried and Drew Carey, we talked for about 5 minutes about our favorite comedians. It was great, he's a picture of my ticket stub, not the best picture of it, but I don't have a scanner yet,

It was a great show, I had a great time, and the guys were great on stage and off, the only thing that could make the night better, If I won $$$ at the casino, which I didn't. LOL
