Living in the midwest, I rarely have the opportunity to meet anyone of great note, but this past monday, I got to meet the remarkably talented Leonard Cohen, the day after his concert here in St. Louis. He was amazingly gracious to myself and the three other people waiting to meet him at his hotel here in town. He signed an LP and CD for me, and posed for pics with each of us. He's one of my favorite musician/poets and I'm glad that I was able to meet him, since he's never been to this city before and likely never will again!
