Cheers for the info about the stage door at the minerva, I am hoping to get Una Stubbs and Richard Mccabe there.

Blimey 5 hours on the train ! - whereabouts do you live? ( if you mind me asking )

If you can come down, I would advise you to see Pygmalion while the prices are reasonable and before the west end transfer!

Have you found yourself to be the only person collecting autographs there? - I have, yesterday whilst waiting for Rupert Everett. - No one seems bothered getting autographs
Yep that's the one. Guy was very nice, as was Simon Williams. Didn't get a chance to get Diana's autograph, as I was talking to one of my friends when she left. I just missed her getting into her car and my friend offered to call her back but I said that was ok haha

I'm in Nottinghamshire. Home station to Nottingham, Nottingham to London, tube through London, London to Chichester - with a train that splits half way, so I gotta make sure I'm on the right end lol

Hmm whenever I've been there there's always been my friends with me, but I have noticed others there at the same time. Patrick of course always draws a few, but there were still only 6 or so others waiting for him. It was quiet at Hay Fever, but quite a lot of oldies turned up to see Simon haha

Ah no worries about bumping. It's under 3 months old and I forgot to come back and post them anyway! Oops.

I have been to the Festival, I saw Hay Fever there the other year. Another very nice intimate theatre.

Stage door is actually inside the theatre. As you walk inside it's on the left hand wall, behind the stairs. White door with a keypad on it.

I was thinking of going to see Pygmalion but Chichester is such a pig to get to for me. 5 hours on the train. I only went to see Hay Fever cause some friends of mine were in it. I'm glad I made the trek for Patrick though!

Sorry to bump old topics.

Its tiny isnt it! - have you been to the festival theatre?

I went there yesterday to see Rupert Everett and Honey Suckleweeks in " Pygmalion ", it was fantastic.

Is the stage door at the front of the minerva? and do they take the lift up to the dressing rooms? - I was really confused!

Beautiful day out in Chichester 22nd May. Saw the final night performance of Bingo: Scenes of Money and Death at the Minerva Theatre.

Oh. Em. Gee. Beautiful theatre. Tiny tiny tiny. Maybe 250 seats.

Finally finally got Patrick Stewart to sign my Hamlet programme. He was polite but curt, as usual. So happy to get him to sign this. We'd seen him earlier in the evening as we were getting drinks & collecting tickets before the show. It was funny because we saw a gentleman in a baseball cap & jeans run up the stairs near us and my friend went "Oh I thought that was Patrick for a second!" and I lauged, saying how any older looking man in a cap immediately makes us think it's Patrick. We sat down near the ticket office waiting for return tickets to come in (thankfully one did). I went off to get a drink and when I came back, I passed the guy again & heard his voice. It WAS Patrick! I laughed and came back to tell the girls, and he ended up standing right next to us with his son, Daniel. I was tempted to ask him to sign it then (after he was about to leave, would never interrupt) but never got the chance. Thankfully did after the show though. I've got 3 IPs (3 different plays) and a TTM autograph from Patrick now. I'm happy - and I'm done!

Also got the following to sign my Bingo programme:

Ellie Haddington - Very nice & excellent performance as Old Woman. Prof. Doherty in Doctor Who (Last of the Timelords).
Richard McCabe - Brilliant (probably scene stealing) as Ben Jonson. Commented on the fact I saw his Toby Belch in Twelfth Night "Oh another drunkard!"
Jason Watkins - a delight to talk to. Herrick in Being Human.
Alex Price - Gilbert in Being Human, Francesco in Doctor Who (Vampires in Venice).

Also went to the pub afterwards and, as is usual, found the cast to be having last-night drinks. Even Patrick. Stayed for an hour or so before heading back to B&B.

Scans to follow.
