Hey! This happened on the 8th April-- sorry it took so long to post, I've only just finished my exams etc etc. I'm sorry if it's inappropriate (being more of a 'long-winded story' than a success, but still)
So, I went to a Joshua Radin concert (I'm a big fan of his; incidentally I discovered JR via Scrubs). I knew ZB had attended a few gigs (as they are close friends), but didn't imagine he'd be in London. I went alone and was very indecisive about where to sit; I'd gotten there early and my tier was mostly empty. I sat on the middle end of the second row (the first was reserved), then at the side, then back in the second row again (damn; someone had stolen my end seat, so I sat alongside them). About 10 mins into the opening act, four people sat in the reserved seats... and guess who took the seat directly in front of me..? This story is amazing to me because I'm personally a huge fan of ZB, and it was all so incredibly dependent on chance... I watched all 8 seasons of Scrubs back-to-back last summer, and he's my favorite actor. SO, after the first singers set, I tapped him on the shoulder, asked him if he was Zach Braff (duh!), apologized for interrupting him, thanked him for bringing the awesome JR into public consciousness (I was a bit flustered lol) and got a photo with him (which he took!). I briefly waffled about what a big fan I am and when I told him I'd sent him a fan letter he was a bit surprised (ahem, he touched my knee, swoon). He was there with his friends, and in London to celebrate his birthday... when he went to get drinks, I briefly chatted with his beautiful girlfriend, apologizing for the disturbance. When the crowd noticed him they went crazy, and JR pointed him out. Incidentally, I was also sitting to the right of the awesome support ban, too. One girl came over to get an auto, but I got way closer : ) They were so so lovely and it was even better 'cause I wasn't in 'autograph hunter' mode
Anyway, this story has two morals:
1. Coincidences DO happen!
2. Always sit near the reserved seating : )
