Michael Barrett signed a contract with the New York Mets earlier this year, however they have him playing for the Mets Single A farm club in Port St. Lucie. I'm not sure why they have him playing there considering that he has played at the major league level for a number of years now? As for Mookie Wilson, I believe he works now as an assistant coaching advisor of some type with the St. Lucie Mets. Awhile back, he was the manager of the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Last Tuesday and Wednesday night on July 6th & 7th, I went down to Digital Domain Sports Complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida where the St. Lucie Mets, the Single A Minor League Farm Club of the New York Mets plays during the regular season. It just so happens that Carlos Beltran was down there rehabing and I had to opportunity to get his autograph twice, once on a baseball and the other time on a New York Mets Full Size Batting Helmet. I also had to opportunity to get Wilmer Flores who is a top roookie prospect for the New York Mets. I got him to sign a baseball along with the batting helmet and two baseball bats. Also, I had the opportnuity get baseballs signed by former MLB players such as Mookie Wilson, Al Jackson, Phil Regan, and Michael Barrett. Michael Barrett who use to be a cathcer with the Montreal Expos and Chicago Cubs just recently signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets.
