Since you mentioned NYC I assume you are on the east coast? If so, why not do your waiting at the tapings of the talk shows like Letterman and all the rest that tape in NY. Then at night you can go to Broadway and catch others as they exit after their performances. NYC also has movie premieres. Google these things and you will find addresses, times, and who is in town.

Or check out venues ex- Theaters, Concert halls. Those are good places to " bump" into people.

Depending on where you live, you can just go on google and type in

"Local celebrity autographs signings" and add your town's name to the end of it. or search under "Celebrity autograph signings in (your state)"

Ok so I so I am new to this whole autograph collecting thing but I am [size=150]really[/size] starting to like it. I am wondering how you could get to meet a celebrity ip and get then to sign something for you. Do you just have to go to NYC and hope you bump into a celebrity to meet them, or are there websites/newspapers/magazines that outline where you can meet celebrities who will sign autographs. I mean some people make it seem like you just stand someplace for like [size=150]8 hours[/size] then you [i]"bump"[/i] into a celebrity.
