It is being shown in the Uk on Saturday 18th - I wonder what the critics will make of it. It does portray Blair in a positive light - but in 2001 he was at the height of his popularity both in the Uk and abroad. The writer, Peter Morgan, who was also present, is working on a fourth and final film about Blair's final years in office. I very much doubt that will portray him in such a favourable manner. The writer declared that he has yet to "nail him".

It wasn't great. It portrays Clinton in a bad light against Blair. My opinion though. ;-)
Haha fair enough. Coming from australia, the critics love it

Michael Sheen attended a preview screening of "The Special Relationship," at the BFI London yesterday. The BBC/HBO film depicts the relationship between Tony Blair and Bill Clinton and features excellent performances from Sheen and Dennis Quaid and was nominated for several Emmys. Despite suffering from jetlag, Michael kindly signed autos and posed for pics after the Q and A. He signed my photo of him in "The Damned United." A really nice guy.
