Yeah, getting Waris Hussein was HUGE. If I had known I would have brought my An Unearthly Child DVD, but I had him sign the TARDIS page in the Visual Dictionary, which is pretty cool.

Don't forget capmonte that the photo opps also cost money.
I too was at the convention and had a good time. If I saw earlier on your post that you were going to be there I would have touched base with you. Anyway to me the major deal was getting the director of the very first Doctor Who story "An Unearthly Child". It's rare to find someone still alive that has worked on the series from the 1960's. I've been doing the Gallifrey Conventions since day one when I meet Jon Pertwee, so there are very few Doctor Who people auttographs that I still need. Hope next year is just as good!
P.S. Nicolas Courtney has just passed away a couple of days ago. May he rest in peace!

What were the autograph charges at this event , by the way ?
The only folks who were charging were the "sponsored" guests (meaning they were brought in by the Tenth Planet Events dealers), and that was only $15. Leeson, Fielding, Waterhouse, Ian McNiece (who I already had), Cush Jumbo (from Torchwood) fell into that category. Sarah Douglas and Daniel Logan were $20, Pamela Salem was anywhere from $10-$25 depending on what you got. Virginia Hey (Farscape) was $30, but everyone else (writers, producers, directors, Davison, Sutton, Hines, Kasey) were all free.

Man, what an awesome convention! I blew a ton of money on both in-person and straight purchased autographs (including auctions I won for Buster Crabbe and Jon Pertwee). I got multiple autographs from many of the actors/guests, but here's what I've uploaded so far:

John Leeson photo-op:

Five Doctors DVD signed by Peter Davison:

Tomb of the Cybermen and War Games DVDs signed by Frazer Hines:

Sarah Douglas:

Paul Kasey (lead monster):

Sarah Sutton:

And the whole TARDIS team: Davison, Sutton, Janet Fielding, and Matthew Waterhouse:

I also received autographs from Daniel Logan (posted in the Star Wars thread), Marv Wolfman and Len Wein (posted in the comics thread), and the behind-the-scenes folks signed pages in Doctor Who: the Visual Dictionary: Clayton Hickman, Gary Russell, Joss Agnew, Tracie Simpson, Jason Haigh-Ellery, Neill Gorton and Rob Mayor (visual effects), Gareth Roberts, James Moran, and Waris Hussein, the director of the very first Doctor Who story, An Unearthly Child, who was a surprise guest on Sunday (along with Pamela Salem, whose photos I haven't uploaded yet).

More to come!
