I met up with Buddy this past Saturday after his VIP dinner with guests. He was in town doing a baking seminar the following day promoted by TLC. On his way out of the restuarant hotel I asked him to sign his book and an 8x10 photo. He was extremely cordial and is no different in person than on the show. His sisters were there at the seminar as well. He even took a photo with me, which when he said, "sure" I was a little surprised because all the signs that were plastered everywhere prohibited any photography or video of any kind.
