MLB All Star FanFest

by roederb » Tue Jul 12, 2011 6:13 pm

Went to MLB All Star FanFest on July 11th, 2011 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ. There were more people signing than I got myself, but the only person I missed on that I wanted was Nomar Garciaparra. They stopped him signing after an hour (he had another appointment) when there were only six people in front of me in line to get him. He personalized everything except cards.

Getting cut off on Nomar put me almost first to get Earl Weaver though. Signed in blue sharpie on 70 Topps. Steady signature.

Got Tony Gwynn on a rookie card. Signed in black sharpie. Added HOF 07 to everything except cards. Was extremely nice and looked healthy.

Got Orlando Cepeda on a rookie card. Signed in blue sharpie.

Got Juan Marichal on a rookie card. Added HOF 83 inscription. Signed in blue sharpie. Was very nice and pointed out that on his rookie card, his hat has a "T" on it, because Topps used a photo of him in triple A Tacoma. I already knew that but it was still hella neato.

Got Luis Aparicio on a rookie card. Signed in blue sharpie.
