Tommy Knight - Sarah Jane Adventures/Dr Who/Waterloo Road

As some of you will know I was in London yesterday for the BUPA London 10000 - Race Number 4 in the "eight races in 31 days" series. It was a tough day out on the course, with the sun blazing down and despite there being numerous celebrities involved I didn't get to see any of them, except Mr James Rhodes of course!

Heading home from Stansted though, I had a heck of a bonus when Tommy Knight plonked himself down in the seat next to ours. Some comedy ensued as I made one of my typical comments when someone tries to take the the empty seat and I want the space "sorry, my invisible friend is there" and it somehow took me a minute or two to realise it was him sitting there as I didn't actually look up as he sat down. I managed (hopefully) not to go all "dr who fan boy" throughout, and Tommy proved to be a very nice lad who was more than happy to chat away and talk things over during the course of the flight. At one stage I had his opening Waterloo Road Script in my hands as he offered to let me have a look through it. I did ask about his fanmail response at one stage, and he admitted that there is just so much that he struggles to get through half of it, though he does try his best.

Just as we landed he reached into his bag and said "I'm going to sign something for you" and signed one of his own art creations from his notebook with a very unique inscription. I nabbed a photo with him as we left the airport, though due to the lighting it's a bit blurry and then we proceeded to cross paths another ten times before leaving the airport. I was more impressed at the shout of "see you later Robin" as we headed for the taxi, not many celebs of that popularity who would take the time to talk to you for an hour, and still remember to say bye when you were on your way.

Awesome Day!
