With a three day meet in Glasgow for the latest round of the Track World Cup, a chance for me to meet some of the big names of the sport. They were mostly running around like lunatics, so not so easy to get, on tight schedules, but I managed a fair bit.
--Friday--
First visit to the venue, I headed out in the morning and then later in the evening, and managed...
Dani King - two signed London Gold Medal Stamp Sets
Laura Trott - two signed London Gold Medal Stamp Sets (one team, one individual)
Andy Tennant - white card
Ed Clancy - signed "Wenlock" and photo holding it.
Becky James - photo with (it was raining most of the day and impossible to get much)
--Saturday--
Rain screwed up plans all day, including a 5.30am rise to get them arriving. Tried their hotel to no avail as the GB team stayed in hiding.
Did manage to get Grant Nicholas and Taka Hirose of Feeder at their venue though, both signed Xmas Cards and big white cards, and a photo with Taka. Grant was unwell, so didn't want to hold him outside in the weather, though he was kind enough to duck inside a shelter to sign them in the dry. Security morons (in line with recent discussion) tried to hold me 25 yards back on a public road, as the pavement is a no go area for "fans". Needless to say, I ignored this.

Best day of all, with immediate results
Sir Chris Hoy - signed Wenlock and photo holding him. Didn't go for a photo with as got one recently. He was taken out by security at the end, so lucky to get this on the way in when it was just me.
Laura Trott - signed Wenlock and photo holding him, plus photo with. This was the only time I saw her in a good mood all weekend, so glad to get these.
Dave Brailsford - signed both TeamGB tshirts and photo with
Robert Foerstemann (Bronze Medal London 2012) - 2 x signed photos, signed xmas card, pic with and pic holding one of the photos
Kristina Vogel (German GOLD winner London 2012) - 2 x signed photos, signed xmas card, signed pic which she gave me, and photo with
Jess Varnish - 2 x Xmas Cards, photo with
Ashlee Ankudinoff (won Omnium Silver at Meet) - photo with
Lee Wai Sze (Bronze Medal London 2012) - photo with
One Unidentified as yet, Spanish cyclist photo with, signed card.
All in all, not too bad a weekend
