Sam Cutler

The autograph that almost wasn't! I attended an event tonight in New York City at which my friend's band was playing, An Evening with Sam Cutler. Sam Cutler was the tour manager for The Rolling Stones during the ill fated Altamont Free Concert, and later The Grateful Dead. Sam Cutler was signing copies of his book You Can't Always Get What You Want, as well as doing a Q&A following a screening of the documentary Gimme Shelter.

As I printed off an 8x10, a half hour before I had to leave, my photo ink ran low and started printing different colors. I quickly mapquested a Walgreens along the route, digitally sent them the photo, and timed it so it was ready just before I got there. Sam was incredibly funny and nice, and was happy to sign an autograph for me.
