Glad you got to meet him.
Guess 1 tip I shoulda given you was "don't believe what the volunteers/TIFF personnel say as being gospel, especially that early on".
Congrats.

On September 7th (2013), I met my long time inspiration, Daniel Radcliffe. He was attending the Toronto International Film Festival for 3 films, and I wasn't lucky on Friday, which was the first screening of Horns. I went to Bloor Hot Docs Theater at 2pm (movie was at 6:30) and nobody was there. There was no red carpet or anything that showed any sign of Daniel Radcliffe attending or me having the chance to meet him. I asked the lady working there if they would have a red carpet outside that leads into the theater, and she said no. So with that being said, I was disappointed and decided to leave (big mistake). I go home and see on television that there was a red carpet outside (small, but still good enough to get autographs and pictures since there was a sharpie and Daniel's hand). Angry, but not hopeless, I decide to try and meet him on the 7th, which is the premium screening of The F-Word. This premiere was taking place at 9pm, so I had to get off work at 2pm, and I tried to make it as early as possible. My sister and I arrived at Ryerson Theater at 5pm (we struggled a bit to find the theater) and there were a lot of people there (mostly people stargazing to see any celebrities they can, which is kind of annoying when you're there to meet a specific person), Kate Winslet was arriving prior to 5pm for the premiere of Labour Day. She was talking to the media for a while and barely did autograph signings at my location, but I was there for Dan, so I wasn't too disappointed. I met a nice family who said they would let me in the front for Daniel Radcliffe, which I appreciated greatly since they were there for a while to see celebrities. It started to drizzle a bit and I was worried Dan wouldn't stop to sign anything, but I stayed motivated. There was 5 minutes to go until his movie started, and he was still talking to the media. I was worried with the shortened time that he wouldn't sign anything. 10 minutes later, he starts walking towards a section of fans (cutting off a lot of people) and I was so glad that he didn't cut off the section I was in. He was in a rush and tried autographing as much as possible. Finally he came to me and he signed my poster of him as himself, not as Harry Potter. I also managed to take a quick photo, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted (his face was kind of cut off, and it was blurry, but still a photo). I'm so happy that I finally got to meet him, I love him so much and I hope he comes back to Toronto!
