this has already happened to me several times in the past.

Basicly an autograph collector needs to have the same knowledge as a Paparrazzi photographer. You need to know what a celebrity looks like otherwise you just walk by them.

For example when you're hunting down celebrities in Los Angeles you better have a few hundred 8x10" photos in your trunk as well as blue, black, purple, red, silver and gold Sharpies and of course the latest issue of "OK" magazine. :wink:

Maybe you remember my IP success with Jasmin Tabatabai ([url=http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=36849]see here[/url]). I had also accidentialy met her at my favorite Italian restaurant when I went for lunch.

Congratulations, Stephan. What a great "accident," just running into the band like that :D It's great that they were so friendly and that they were willing to let you come to their soundcheck as well.

I'd love to meet some of my favorite bands. Hopefully some day :lol:

Oh boy, Stefanie is a real cutie!!! She's darn sweet in person and extremly friendly. We really has a blast and a good laugh after their soundcheck.

You might have gotten something wrong. Stefanie's brother doesn't belong to Silbermond. But Johannes (bass guitar) and Thomas (guitar) are brothers.

Yeah maybe I should, even if it was only our class... Our teacher gave us about 3 pages about them and then we was going to re-tell the text next lesson! :D

wow, that's way to cool! Why don't you leave them a message in their guestbook and tell them that they are even discussed in German lessons in schools in Sweden? I'm sure they'd be delighted to hear about this since I doubt that they are aware of this fact.

Yesterday my friend Simon and I accidentially ran into the rock band [url=http://www.silbermond.de/]SILBERMOND[/url] at the harbour in Mannheim. I asked their front singer Stefanie if she would sign for us and she said that were just on their way to the soundcheck and would have more time to chat with us after the soundcheck.

The venue was quiete unusual... [url=http://www.silbermond.de/]SILBERMOND[/url] as well as [url=http://reamonn2.mcs-world.de/]REAMONN[/url] and [url=http://www.105music.com/ck/new/index.html]COSMO KLEIN[/url] performed on a huge pontoon (80 metres long, 12 metres wide) on the Neckar river.

So Simon and I joined [url=http://www.silbermond.de/]SILBERMOND[/url] backstage and watched their soundcheck. After their soundcheck all band members directly walked up to Simon and myself, signed two 8x12" promotional stills for us and took some photos with us as well.

Later we hung out in the band and crew lounge until [url=http://reamonn2.mcs-world.de/]REAMONN[/url] finally arrived for their soundcheck.

During the shows of [url=http://www.silbermond.de/]SILBERMOND[/url], [url=http://reamonn2.mcs-world.de/]REAMONN[/url] and [url=http://www.105music.com/ck/new/index.html]COSMO KLEIN[/url] we had absolutely fantastic seats at the mixer unit and Simon and I really had a blast. I took around 450 picture during the soundcheck and the show and will post some of them by tomorrow.
