Oh My Gosh!!!
Ok I am at my high school in my mom's comp. lab. We just finished the Dedication to our new high school. I had to sing in the choir for the ceremony. We sang America the Beautiful and our school song (Alma Mater). I was so excited to be there because Kay Granger was there to give a speech at the Dedication Ceremony. I am a fan of hers because of all of the support she gives to the women in Iraq. I just learned tonight at the ceremony that she just finished writing a new book and I can't wait to read it.
I am ecstatic because she signed a program from the ceremony and I also had my picture made with her!! On the program she wrote... "Great Choir. Best Wishes, Kay Granger."
I will have to post a copy of the pic and the signature when I can!
She talked about how the students in our school were going to do great things in life and she said something in her speech that I think is cool...
"The youth of today make up only 20% of our country's population, but 100% of its future." - Kay Granger
