Justin Moorhouse (Phoenix Nights)

by Disco Biscuit » Mon Oct 01, 2007 3:10 pm

Yesterday evening, the 30th September, my friend and I went to see Justin Moorhouse doing his stand up show - Who's the Daddy?

Justin is most known for playing Young Kenny (that tiger of Potters) in Phoenix Nights. After the show we waited by the stage door and after a few minutes Justin came out and his was happy to stand for a photo when I asked. He was quickly followed out by his support act, Alfie Joey. Who was also willing to stand for a photo.

By now Justin was talking to another couple of people but I asked if he would sign my Phoenix Nights DVD covers. He asked my name and signed them. We then mentioned to him that we would see him again in a couple of months time at another venue. He remembered being there last time and said about some cake scenery being on the stage. We were at the show with the cake scenery, where he had spoke to my brother during the show. Justin remembered him because of his job and turned to Alfie saying the (I can't say what my brother does) from the other venue was my brother. Justin then said we should all make sure we go and say hello to him when we go again.

Then it came round to saying how far we'd travelled to get to Manchester as we both live the other side of the country and had travelled about 90 miles for this gig. They were both really shocked how far we'd come and were dead taken with it.

Both Justin and Alfie and lovely to speak to, and both are very funny comedians.

I've photographed the autographs on the DVD's. It's not very clear, as it's done in biro over a dark part of the cover, but I know it's there and I'm happy.

One says 'To Kerry. Love, Justin Moorhouse' and the other 'All the best, Justin Moorhouse'
