shoot.. it was at the DGA theater... that really stinks, wish i had known earlier.

I went to the gugenheim today and had an envelope with a couple pictures to give to an employee to pass on to her, and no one acted like they had a clue about it, they kept asking me if it was for some cultural series of movies instead... a few ppl were like, ohh, maybe it's something downstairs... and one guy was like you could always try and come back tomorrow, maybe someone will know more then. and i explained i live nowheres near there and am going home in an hr he was like, i guess you can just chalk this one up to one of those missed oppertunities then. :roll: when i finally got to someone who knew what they were talking about, she still didn't really know that there was gonna be one, but she told me that if they do have it there that it's for like VIP ppl in the museum and staff for the most part isn't allowed anywheres near the event. I did find it interesting that she said that they have had a couple there like over the past year, and she was like who is going to be here? and i told her natalie portman, and she goes, yeah, that's interesting, this will be like the third time in the past couple months she's had something here, we never get to see her. she was here for some ghost movie it's just like a private screening with a couple people down stairs and we don't even hear about it til after. anyways, it might be useless to try and go because i guess they just sneak them there and whisk them inside quickly, keeping everything on the down low. It sucks because i went on a bus trip to nyc today which is 5 hrs away and we made a last minute subway ride and mad dash for the museum, and then i spent like 15 minutes trying to get info out of ppl and no one knew what they were talking about. if anyone does decide to go still and gets the oppertunity to meet her, i'd really really appreciate it if they could try and get an extra after all the crap i went through today. i'd send them an SASE and like a book of stamps for their trouble or something if so. but just wanted to let you know about my experience with the inept staff today. thanks!
