Really? I was told that a 2nd class stamp is worth 0.27 and you need 0.56 for a 4X6 from the UK to the US!

Also could someone tell me the value of a UK stamp, all they say is first or second class. Would one stamp be sufficient for one standard envelope (big enough to hold a 4 x 6 photo)?
