I think he waits until the off-season as a way of keeping himself busy during that time. His way of keeping himself on the straight and narrow. He truly is an inspiration, and a feel-good story. Hard not to be a fan of Hamilton's.

During Spring Training 2011, I mailed Texas Rangers MVP Slugger Josh Hamilton a LOR, SASE, and 2011 Topps 60 Highlight Card. I used the Texas Rangers Spring Training Address. I did know that Hamilton was known not to sign mail during the season and had a good track record of being a good signer during the off-season.
