Signature looks pretty consistent to other successes I've seen from him. Most likely since it's a glossy card, it caused the marker to bubble just a little. He must have given it time to dry otherwise it probably would've smeared horribly. You probably want to prep your cards before you send them. Most ppl I know use baby powder. Rub it all over the card really hard and then rub it off on your jeans or with a cloth of some kind. (Make sure you get all the powder off before putting the card in your envelope, you don't want them to think you're sending something harmful in your envelope!)
I forget what it is exactly but something in the baby powder that rubs off onto the card causes the pen/autograph to stick really well. I do this on all my glossy cards and they come back looking great.
