You must be the only idiot in the whole collecting world that believes Doerr does not sign his fan mail. Your statement has no logic!
You and that dumb SummerGlau girl must be related.

Ernie Banks is 80+ years old, and his autograph has hardly changed since he came into baseball.... if anything it's gotten neater!

Bobby Hull is 70+ years old... and is in such bad shape, can hardly hold a pen for more than 10 minutes without wincing in pain... and his autograph is still perfect and beautiful to look at... whether it's the first graph he has signed in a day, or the 300th. (I've worked a handful of private signings with him, and can vouch for that first hand.)

So unless you have seen a bunch of Doerr TTms fail PSA/DNA, don't just make stuff up that you have no clue what you are talking about.

Agreed...original poster is an idiot.

I got Virgil Trucks twice, one in December and once 2 or 3 weeks ago, believe me his handwriting got a lot shakier, I'll take pics of the handwritten letters if you don't believe me.

Some former players do not age as well as others and it shows in their writing. Bob Feller was a robust 92 years old when he passed away nearly 2 years ago. I can tell you that I received his signature in person just 7 months prior to his passing. His signature was "Spot On" from anything that had been seen in the past. Virgil Trucks is well into his 90's and is signing like a mad-man. There is only a slight shake in his. I see mail-time as their driving force. So I am not buying the ghost-signer theory on Bobby Doerr.

Where did you come with the idea of a ghost signer?

You don't believe that a guy that gets as much mail as he does would have a steady autograph?

My thoughts exactly!

Where is your proof?

The guy is 94 years old and the autographs that come back look like they were signed with the steadiness of a young man. Can't believe that people believe these are real and don't realize that a ghost signer has been signing all these TTMs for him all these years.
