I was
completely blown away with this success. I am a HUGE fan of video games (if you couldn't tell already) and am so unbelievably happy with this response. I sent four photos (the Shinobi and Outrun 4x6s and two Sonic 8x10s) to the gentlemen at Arzest on June 7th. Arzest is a game company that was started by former Sega employees. I found them by doing my detective work. Yoji Ishii created the Outrun arcade game. Yutaka Sugano created Shinobi. Naoto Oshima was the character designer for Sonic the Hedgehog. Since they all worked at the same place I sent all three requests to the following address:
Arzest Corporation
Innotech Bldg. 3F
Shinyokohama 3-17-6
Kohoku-ku, Yokohama
222-0033
Japan
Not only did they graciously sign my photos, but they sent along with it a wonderful letter. Ishii additionally sent me four Japanese arcade flyers signed by him as a gift. They were all sent in plastic protective folders. (One of them is over the return envelope.) On top of all of this, they added to the IRCs I sent and shipped everything back to me overnight and I received them today on June 18th. (I had to sign for it today. LOL) That's 11 day turnaround.
Soooooooooooooooooo happy with this success.
